The "Chevaliers du Cep" go again on a crusade !

Saturday, April 9th 2005, the "Ordre Universel des Chevaliers du Cep" made its come back in the Abbey of Valmagne, 55 years later this wonderful Sunday in October 1950 during which the most prestigious French wine brotherhoods met together under its banner, at the occasion of the celebrations of the International Fair of Wine and vine (Foire Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin - FIVV) located at that time on the Esplanade and which turned out to be later the International Fair of Montpellier.

This time about 24 brotherhoods came from all the region as well as from Cognac, Switzerland and Finland to be present at the appeal launched by the "Ordre Universel des Chevaliers du Cep" for the defence of the wine and vine.

Since more than 50 years, the Order has brought together people who see wine not only as a drink but especially as the expression of the one thousand years old genius of men who devoted a huge amount of energy, inventive spirit, will and bravery to elaborate in the course of time the wine which slaked his "thirsts", physiological and energetic thirst, but also absolute thirst of poetry, daydreams, love, conviviality, friendship.
